Flying over the Nazca Lines from the airport in Nazca is a popular way to see the Nazca Lines, and it is also the least expensive way to see the Nazca Lines from the air. However, it requires you to travel to Nazca, which is located 6 hours and 30 minutes south of Lima. Once you arrive there you will enjoy this tour immensely. It offers the chance to see the Nazca Lines aboard a well-maintained Cessna turboprop aircraft, which holds 04 passengers and 02 pilots. All passengers will enjoy a seat with a window, and therefore will have an excellent view of the Nazca Lines.
During the flight, the pilots will say the name of the Nazca Lines in english and spanish, and provide a chance for
passengers on both sides of the craft to have a view of each figure. The duration of the flight is 32 minutes. You will see 12 of the world-famous Nazca Lines, including the monkey, dog, whale, tree, hands, "astronaut", hummingbird, spider, etc.
This tour includes pickup from your hotel in Nazca, or from the CRUZ DEL SUR bus station. The tour
does not include the airport tax ($20 USD per person) which should be paid for in cash at the airport. All passengers should bring their passports. For safety reasons, the total weight of the aircraft is carefully controlled by the airline staff. Those passengers who weigh more than 90 kilograms (200 pounds) may be required to pay an extra fee, depending on how much they and the other members of their party weigh. During the reservation all passengers will need to inform us of their weights.
Flights depart from the Nazca airport several times per hour, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We recommend flying over the Nazca Lines from 7:30 AM - 10:00 AM because this period of time generally has less turbulence and slight better visibility. However, clients have enjoyed this tour during all times of the day. Passengers who easily get seasick or motion sickness are encouraged to purchase generic motion sickness medication from the pharmacies in Nazca before their flight. This can usually be purchased over-the-counter.
