TOUR DESCRIPTION

This popular tour package provides an extraordinary amount of adventure and mystery in just two days. We'll pick you up at your hotel in Lima and transfer you to the bus station in Lima. You'll climb on board a VIP tourist bus that travels along the coast, from Lima to the seaside village of Paracas. There, you will enjoy a flight over the world-famous Nazca Lines onboard a modern Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. During the flight you will see 12 of the world- famous Nazca Lines, and every passenger is guaranteed a seat with a window..

Afterwards, you will enjoy a private tour of the National Reserve, a national park with beautiful red-sand beaches, dramatic cliffs, and desolate coastal dunes.

The next morning, you'll climb aboard a speedboat to visit the Ballestas Islands, an unforgettable wildlife sanctuary filled with Humboldt penguins, sea lions, terns, blue footed boobies, and a mysterious symbol carved into a cliff centuries ago, called the Candelabra.

Afterwards, you can purchase a fresh seafood lunch in Paracas and then you'll take the VIP bus back to Lima. When you arrive in Lima, we will transfer you to your hotel there. You'll arrive with a smile on your face, the memory cards in your camera full of amazing photos of a genuine adventure in a beautiful part of the world.

TOUR ITINERARY

Your tour will follow the approximate itinerary listed below. The actual flight departure time changes every day, according to the weather and other factors.

FIRST DAY

6:10 AM - 6:30 AM + Pickup at your hotel, transfer to bus station
6:55 AM - 11:00 AM + VIP bus from Lima to Paracas
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM + Flight over the Nazca Lines
1:30 PM - 5:00 PM + Paracas National Reserve tour, eat lunch in the reserve
Sleep in Paracas ( kindly reserve your own choice of hotel)

SECOND DAY

7:40 AM Pickup at your hotel
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM Ballestas Islands boat tour
12:00 PM - 3:50 PM + VIP bus from Paracas to Lima, end of tour
3:50 PM - 4:15 PM + Pickup at bus station, transfer to your hotel

OPTIONAL TOURS

One hour south of Paracas is desert oasis, surrounded by palm trees and gigantic sand dunes. Named "Huacachina", this oasis is the site of a very popular tour where travelers climb into a 4-wheel-drive dune buggy and a professional driver takes them to explore the desert. The sand dunes are immense, like those in the Sahara Desert in Africa, and are surprisingly beautiful as well. Some passengers prefer for their dune buggy tour to be fast and adrenaline-pumping, like a thrill ride or rollercoaster. Other travelers prefer to experience the desert at a slower pace, in a relaxed and meditative speed. Either way, this is an unforgettable tour, especially if you have a chance to see the sunset over the sand dunes. During the tour, those passengers who are adventurous are welcome to try sandboarding down the dunes on a snowboard, included in the tour. Cost: $50 USD per person

+ Most ancient Incan ruins are located in the mountains, near Cuzco. But there is a unique and fascinating Incan ruin on the coast, called TAMBO COLORADO. Archaeologists believe that the Inca royalty used this site as an administrative and military site, to exert control and power over the coastal region. We can provide a privately guided tour to this small but worthwhile site, about an hour east of Pisco. PRICE: $40 USD per person

HOTELS

Our tour packages do not include a hotel because our clients often prefer to choose their own accomodations. However, we are glad to make suggestions, and help you reserve a room if you wish. For those travelers who are on a budget, we recommend the hotel Betania, an excellent mid-priced option in Paracas, with clean and comfortable rooms. Rooms usually cost around $50 USD per room per night, based on double occupancy (two people). Those travelers who are looking to splurge are encouraged to reserve a room at Hotel Paracas: A Luxury Collection, a beautiful 5-star hotel where rooms cost around $200 USD per night based on double occupancy.
