Carved into the Nazca desert over 1,500 years ago, the Nazca Lines are the greatest unanswered mystery in South America. Most of the Nazca lines depict animals native to Peru, including a parrot, hummingbird, monkey, whale, dog, spider, pelican, and more. The newly-discovered Palpa Lines include shapes and several human figures.
To this day, the reason for their creation remains a mystery. Were they a message to the gods? A way to keep track of the seasons? Irregardless, the only way to properly see the lines is with a touristic flight in a light aircraft.
During this flight, you will have a unique opportunity to fly over 12 of the most important Nazca Lines, 3 of the Palpa Lines, and the spiral-shaped aqueducts at Cantalloc. We will pick you up at your hotel in Nazca, or from a bus station, and take you to Maria Reiche airport, near downtown Nazca. Our staff will then assist you with the check-in procedure. You will need to show your passport, be weighed, and pay your airport tax.
Then we'll help you board a Cessna 206, a turbo-prop aircraft that carries 04 passengers and 2 pilots. Each aircraft is well-maintained and NazcaFlights works with the airlines in Nazca that have an excellent reputation for safety. The duration of the flight is 50 minutes. After your flight, we'll take you back to your hotel or bus station.
