TOUR PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

Experience the best of Peru's southern coast in just three days and two nights with this premium tour package. On your first day, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Lima and drive along Peru's scenic coastal highway. When we arrive in Paracas, we'll have a guided tour of the Paracas National Reserve. You'll see beautiful and dramatic cliffs, coastal sand dunes, and mysterious red-sand beaches.

The next morning we'll head south to the desert town of Ica, for a day of adventure, fun and ancient mysteries. We'll visit an archaeology museum filled w ith mummies and beautiful ceramics, created by the ancient tribes that predate the Incas. Then we'll climb on board a Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft for an unforgettable flight over the Nazca Lines. Every passenger is guaranteed a seat with a window. See 12 of the world-famous lines during your flight, which lasts for 90 minutes.

Then we'll tour two of Ica's wineries, to discover how Peruvians make sweet red wine and and a grape brandy called "Pisco." We will visit a large, modern winery and a small family-run winery that uses techniques introduced by the Spanish colonists. There will be a wine-tasting opportunity at both wineries.

To wrap up this once-in-a-lifetime day, we will take you to a desert oasis called 'Huacachina' for an unforgettable dune buggy tour to explore the massive sand dunes of the desert. See the sun as it sets over the dunes, truly a romantic experience, we can marvel at the surreal beauty of the desert. Then we will tak e you back to your hotel in Paracas.

On Day 3, we'll take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, to see endangered Humboldt penguins, families of sea lions, huge flocks of marine birds, and a mysterious symbol carved into the face of a cliff, known as the Candelabra. You will come face-to-face with the wildlife. After you purchase and eat lunch, we'll drive you back to your hotel in Lima.

WEIGHT LIMIT - TO PROTECT YOUR SAFETY
For safety reasons, the airlines in Peru have a weight limit of 200 pounds (90 kilograms) per passenger. For two travelers, there is a weight limit of 400 pounds or 180 kilograms. If your weight exceeds these limits, please let us know by email before you reserve the tour on our website.

You may be required to pay an extra fee, if the airline needs to fly with one empty seat. However, by putting heavier passengers on a flight with passengers who are lighter, we can often avoid the need to charge you extra.

OPTIONAL TOURS

These tours can be added to your tour package, to enhance your vacation even more. They are optional, and they have an additional cost. If you wish to reserve them, you must let us know during the reservation process.

TAMBO COLORADO: Explore one of the only Incan ruins located on the coast of Peru (most ruins are in the highlands, like in Cuzco). This well-preserved Inca site is located just north of Pisco, and its purpose remains unknown. Cost: $40 USD per person (minimum two passengers)

HACIENDA SAN JOSE: Explore a fascinating but tragic side of Peru that very few people know about: the history of black slaves who were forced to work in sugarcane plantations on the coast of Peru. This is a short but very interesting tour to visit the mansion at a former slave plantation, including the tunnels and passages beneath the mansion. Cost: $40 USD per person (minimum two passengers)
