TOUR DESCRIPTION:

The Paracas National Reserve tour is an excellent choice for travelers who are looking for a relaxing, slow-paced tour in a beautiful setting. In this tour, the attraction is not the wildlife, but the beauty of the ocean and desert landscapes. This is a land-based tour in a mini-van, rather than by boat. If you take this tour at 11:00 AM, it gives you a chance to do the Ballestas Islands tour before starting the Paracas National Reserve tour, which is an excellent tour combination. Stroll through lovely red-sand beaches like PLAYA ROJA, peek over dramatic cliffs at EL CATEDRAL and photograph desolate coastal dunes. Your english-speaking tour guide will explain about the natural and human history of the region. The Paracas civilization - who survived here for centuries - named the region Paracas because that word means “storms of sand” in their language. You can also see flamingoes feeding during much of the year, although to protect the flamingoes we will need to stay far away from them. During the tour, visitors will have a chance to eat an extremely fresh seafood lunch at a restaurant inside the park The lunch is optional and not included in the cost of the tour. We can offer this tour as a private or group tour, depending on your budget and whether you wish to travel with other visitors. The public tour is significantly cheaper, but it involves some delays because the company that operates this tour will need to pick up passengers from numerous hotels in the region before the tour commences.

DEPARTURE TIMES AND TOUR DURATION:

The group tour of the Paracas National Reserve is offered every day from 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Afterwards, we can drop you off at your hotel, or the bus station in Paracas.

FOSSIL SEA SHELLS IN THE RESERVE

The private tour of the Paracas National Reserve can start whenever it is convenient for you, although we do not start this tour after 3 PM in order to assure that there is sufficient daytime to enjoy the sights. The duration of the private tour is similar to the group tour, although it can be extended if you wish to stay longer at a certain destination, and likewise we can shorten it if you prefer to return sooner to your hotel, or prefer to skip lunch.

LUNCH TIME

During the group tour of the Paracas National Reserve, there is an opportunity to eat a fresh seafood lunch inside the national reserve. The meal is not included in the cost of your tour, and is completely optional. If you prefer not to eat lunch, kindly relax and wait for the other travelers to finish their meals.

In the private tour of the Paracas National Reserve, we can stop for lunch or we can skip it.
